Specialist Painting Group offer Protective Intumescent Coating Systems in the Cambridge area aswell as Nationally.
Use of Thin film Intumescent coatings are increasing in the UK as they provide a high Standard of finish, quality and reliability. Thin intumescent coatings offer 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes fire resistance and can be applied on or off-site.
Passive fire protection plays a huge part in maintaining a structures integrity under duress. Thin film intumescent coatings are created from organic materials and are inert at low temperatures. They intumesce to provide a charred layer of low conductivity foam when exposed to high temperatures, this char layer reduces the rate of temperature rise in the steel and prolongs the steels load bearing capacity.
Thin film intumescent coatings can be water or solvent based. Being a wet applied coating the material they follow the contours of the steel and can be easily applied in complex and difficult to reach areas.
We have the capabilities to manage all of our intumescent work using containment, powered access and our expertise with airless spray to ensure all projects are specified correctly, applied professionally and completed on time and within budget.
